On 3rd March, 2019, Indian Railways celebrated 50 Golden Years of the Rajdhani Express. Rail Enthusiasts' Society gave a warm sendoff to the train from Platform No. 9 of Howrah Railway Station. A team of RES travelled all the way to New Delhi, where the RES members welcomed the Golden Jubilee run.
At the Howrah end Eastern Railway welcomed passengers of this Golden Jubilee run with rosebuds and a special commemoration leaflet. IRCTC provided a special menu on board. The train was flagged off by the General Manager, Eastern Railway
