Membership is open to Indian as well as foreign nationals and corporates. We welcome corporate as well as individual members. Becoming a corporate member entails a onetime payment of Rs. 2,00,000/- (USD 4000/- for foreign corporate) which will entitle the company to membership for life. Of course, since we are a fledgling organisation and need capital to grow, any amount higher than this as a donation would be welcome.
Membership gives the corporate the following:
- Five copies of all magazines or supplements to the magazine that will be published.
- Concessional price for any item on sale.
- Invitation to five individuals of your organisation nominated by the corporate for any event or activity we may organise.
- Other benefits will be added in due course as and when we add more activities.
For individuals, we have 3 types of membership (Rates for foreign nationals in parenthesis):
- Associate member: Membership for a year. Subscription – is Rs. 1000.00 (USD 20).
- Ordinary member: Membership for 5 years. Subscription is Rs. 3,000.00 (USD 60).
- Life member: Membership for life with a one-time payment of Rs. 10,000.00 (USD 200).
Payment is acceptable by cheque, demand draft or cash. You can also do a direct bank transfer. All cheques should be payable to “Rail Enthusiasts Society”. For a direct bank transfer of payment to our bank, details are as follows:

For enrolling as an individual member, all you need to do is to click here for the membership form. Please send a scanned copy of the completed form to the Secretary of the Society at the email id given in “Contact us”. For corporate membership, we do not have any form that you are required to fill except to send an email to the Secretary. In the email, please give us the name which will be recorded on your membership card, your postal address to which we send copies of the magazine and all other correspondence, your email id, telephone number and the name of the person whom we correspond with. In addition, give the names of the 5 persons who would be sent invites for all events and activities. You can change these persons at any stage that you desire. In the case of individual members, membership cards will be issued only to life members. Corporate membership is for life only.
Issues of the magazine will be delivered free of cost to all members in India. For foreign nationals and Indian nationals residing overseas, we shall send a soft copy free of cost. Those desirous of receiving a hard copy may let us know and we will charge them actual postal charges for the delivery.
If you do not intend to become a member of the society but would like to subscribe for the magazine only, rates are as follows:
- Single copy Rs. 250 (USD 5)
- Yearly subscription (4 copies) Rs. 900 (USD 18)
- 5-year subscription (20 copies) Rs. 4000 (USD 80)
